First Lady Maria Shriver Presents 2008 Minerva Award to Louise Hay

Louise Hay and Other 2008 Minerva Award Recipients | California’s First Lady Maria Shriver presented five women with the distinguished Minerva Award at a packed house at the Long Beach Convention Center. Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom, is the embodiment of women who are extraordinary leaders, role models and visionaries. Numerous people spoke at the conference, including rock star Bono.

Louise was honored along with women’s rights activist Gloria Steinem, tennis great Billie Jean King, Betty Chinn, advocate for the homeless, and Ivelise Markovits, director of Penny Lane, a nonprofit dedicated to helping foster youth in Los Angeles. Congratulations to all the winners!
